The student will be able to identify states, major cities, and the regions in which they are located.

The student will be able to comprehend maps,  charts, and, primary historical sources

Formulating Grades

1)    Homework  (7%)
            e.g., assignments from the book, worksheets, etc.
        2) Quizzes (20%)
                Daily Quizzes (6%)
                Unit Quizzes (14%)
        3) Class Work (23%)
               
        4)  Tests (25%)
        5) Projects (25%)
This category consists mainly of on-line study guides.  The grading scale is as follows: One perfect score = a D.  Two perfect scores = a C.  Three perfect scores = a B.
 Four perfect scores = an A.

Make-up Work Policies
- All work must be made up before due dates that I will announce and post! (Generally, work must made up during the month it was assigned.)
- Work missed due to an excused absence can be made up at full credit.  All other work is late.
- Late work receives 1/2 credit (50%).  Student will receive full credit upon completing additional work.
- No-name papers receive HALF CREDIT once they’ve been claimed.   Student will receive full credit upon completing additional work.
