The Key to determining whether of not the service meets the criteria for community service credit is to ask yourself "Who benefits from the service?"

Answer: Those organizations which are identified as an educational institution or those with 501(c)3 status, or an individual in need such as the poor, the sick, or those with special needs.

Students in the Classes of 2010 - 2012 who have completed a minimum of 50 hours of community service by May 1st of their senior year will receive a special seal for their diploma and a notation on their transcript.

Beginning with the Class of 2013, students who have completed a minimum of 80 hours of community service by May 1st of their senior year will receive a special seal for their diploma and a notation on their transcript.
