Welcome future Physicists, Businessmen/women and Free Thinkers! Yes - Physics is not only for those interested in working in a Lab but also for those interested in sharpening their analytical and critical thinking for the business world. All successful corporations need individuals who can think creatively, theoretically and not be hesitant to apply their ideas to achieve a certain goal. Companies are in search of personnel who can work just as well independently as they can in a group. Our Physics program is going to teach you how to count on yourself as well as your teammates. The core curriculum will introduce you to a number of theoretical concepts that explain the environment as well as give us the opportunity to learn from practical application through labs. We will also learn how to pick ourselves up when we realize that sometimes there is an inherent disconnect between theory and application.

I sincerely look forward to getting to know all of you in the fall and developing a successful partnership through the academic year. Please feel free to drop by anytime if you wish to catch up, have questions or simply want to chat. I would like you to bring a positive attitude for learning and developing your math and science skills as well as your time management habits. Make sure not to overload yourself as this course is demanding. Good luck with your decision and hope you will join our successful program.

Feel free to download the course syllabus by going to the AP Physics or College Prep Physics tabs at the top of this page. The syllabus will help you review the safety procedures, course expectations, grading policy and supply list.

Sincerely,
