Academic Quiz Bowl (junior level) |
This club is the junior varsity level for the Academic Quiz Bowl Team. If you are a freshman or sophomore who loves academic trivia, you will find this organization challenging. Meetings will be held in room 111. |

Provide a positive forum in which students can be creative, innovative, and marketable in their prospective area of interests. Provide a friendly place for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to learn and use computer technology. Enhance student knowledge by providing a forum of questions and answers and internet resources through the effective use of a Website and newsletter. Participate in computer oriented competitions such as programming contests. |

Debate Club |
The Deep Run High School Debate Club provides an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in current events and community affairs to engage in the skill of civil discourse and discussion. We will meet every Wednesday after school from 4:00 to 5:15 in room 220. The competitions are encouraged but not required. |

FCA is for all current and former athletes and for anyone who has an interest in sports. Our goal is to challenge athletes with the gospel message to live for Christ in their daily lives through sports and games, music, bible studies, and community events. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is the world’s largest Christian sports organization, with a mission to impact the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. Huddles normally take place during extended study on friday. A specific schedule will be posted. |

As the only international precollegiate extracurricular program for prospective teachers, FEA has the mission to provide students with opportunities to explore careers in education. Through participation in an FEA chapter students will gain a realistic understanding of the nature of education and the role of the teacher. |

The SCA is Deep Run's student government association. It oversees events like homecoming and the Christmas Mother, and works to represent the study body at Deep Run. SCA officers are elected each year by their class or the entire school. S.T.E.M. Club |
S.T.E.M Club promotes academic learning in an engaging and interesting approach. The acronym S.T.E.M stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM strives to incorporate all aspects of science, technology, engineering and math to demonstrate scholarly learning and enrich such knowledge in all students willing to contribute. We are involved in outreach to the community in several ways and involve the interested youth for the furtherance of advanced learning and critical thinking. |

Student Congress is an organization that was created by Superintendent, Fred Morton. This organization gives students a platform and opportunity to share their concerns about issues affecting their school and community. These issues are then presented to Henrico County’s School Board in May. |

The Media Club is comprised of The Wildcat News Channel 7 as well as students that have an interest in photography and video. The club broadcasts the morning announcements live every day and also provides opportunities for students to show and discuss their work, be it photography or video based. |

Wildcat Writing Center |
The Wildcat Writing Center serves to facilitate the writing process of students across the curriculum through a collaboration between the student writer and the student writing consultant. Since consultants assess the writer’s needs, assignment, and approach to writing on an individual basis, students who seek help gain a deeper understanding of the demands of a writer as they develop ideas and strategies to further their skills. The Wildcat Writing Center is staffed by exemplary juniors and seniors who are happy to help any writer during extended study. |

Young Leaders |
Young Leaders is a new club at Deep Run. We meet weekly during extended study and go out and challenge ourselves through team/camp/youth group games. These games are designed to build team work and leadership skills. It is also meant to build communication and friendship amoung the students. |
