Army ROTC Program- Scholarship winners earn full tuition and fees and the opportunity to serve as commissioned officers upon graduation in the Regular Army, Army National Guard, or Army Reserves. There are also nursing scholarships available to become an Army Nurse. If you are applying to the service academies, it is recommend that you apply for an Army ROTC scholarship as well. There are a limited number of slots to the academies. Army ROTC is the largest scholarship entity in the country and is affiliated with over 1,300 colleges and universities across the nation providing a multitude of options for those who want to serve and get a quality education that may have otherwise been out of reach.
What separates our program at Richmond from the service academies or say VMI, or even Virginia Tech with their proud Corps of Cadets, is that our students have a more traditional college experience. Yet they still get quality leadership training with the same result after graduation: a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. Non-scholarship students can also enroll in the program once on campus and work toward the same goal.
The four year scholarship application for high school seniors is online and the site provides a good overview of ROTC in general http://www.goarmy.com/rotc.html
