THE ART DEPARTMENT

The art department at Deep Run High School is dedicated to offering a high quality art education to every student who enters our program. Currently, our department contains five levels of Studio Art, and four levels of Graphic Design, and two levels of Ceramic Arts.

Throughout this program, our students are challenged to solve creative problems, effectively write about aesthetics, confidently discuss art, and learn about the evolution of art from pre-history to the post-modern era. As art educators, we are dedicated to the success of every student in our program. We seek to offer our students the valuable and necessary skills to become life-long learners. Those students who pursue our programs to the higher levels inherit the tenacity of creative problem solvers with the discerning eyes of fine artists. These students learn to hold creativity and logic in equal esteem.
