(This is a modified list.  To see the full list of policies and procedures please refer back to the copy I handed out at the beginning of the year.)

1. Homework

Þ Þ No homework will result in a zero

Þ Þ Moaning or complaining about receiving homework will result in a doubled assignment

Þ Þ Five consecutive days with no missed homework will result in a reward

 

2. Participation

Þ Þ Start with 10 participation points every class

Þ Þ For disruptions, one point will be taken away each time

Þ Þ Participation includes coming prepared to class (books, binder, pen/pencil, etc) and getting involved in group work, independent work, and class discussions

 

3. Absent

Þ Þ Pick up missing work from folder

Þ Þ Check due date (You can not hand in work at your convenience.  You only get one make-up day per absence!)

Þ Þ Put make-up work into the hand-in folder

 

4. Notebooks

Þ Þ Required to have one 3-ring binder solely for this class

Þ Þ All notes should be keep in your notebook in an organized fashion

Þ Þ Notebooks may be collected and checked for a grade at any time

 

5. Assignment Books

Þ Þ All students are required to have an assignment notebook

Þ Þ All students are required to write their assignments in their assignment notebooks at the end of each class

Þ Þ Assignment notebooks will be checked randomly for credit

 

6. Website

Þ Þ Check my website if you are absent or have forgotten you assignment

7. Responsibility

Remember that you are responsible for you own actions!  If you need extra help, you need to seek that help.  If you are unable to complete an assignment, you must speak to me about that BEFORE the start of class.  You are all responsible for learning the material presented, so if you’re having difficulties with something . . . ASK FOR HELP!

 

FYI

Textbooks are available, but because we are using online activities and resources, we will not be issuing a textbook to every student unless otherwise requested.
