Lesson 1-1: Point, Line, Plane

Interactive Applet

Video Lecture

Objective:

The student will be able to make and describe fundamental sketches. The student will also be able to understand basic concepts such as intersect, horizontal, vertical, collinear and coplanar.

 Applet Directions 1 Close
  1. Are points A, F, G and D coplanar?

  2. Using the segment tool , construct the four "edges" of plane AFGD.

  3. Move the "drag" point to view how a plane can intersect a prism (box) diagonally.
 Applet Directions 2 Close
  1. Does the plane that you dragged contain plane AFGD?

  2. Drag points A, D, C or H to change your perspective of the prism and plane.

  3. Are points D, B, F and H coplanar?
