Moving the sliders in this applet lets you construct a triangle by specifying the lengths of the three sides.

If such a triangle can be constructed, is it unique? Another way to think of this is that given three sides, is there only one triangle with these measurements?

The Side-Side-Side (SSS) Triangle Congruence Theorem. If two triangles have the same side lengths, then the triangles are congruent.

Remember, that experiments with specific triangles are not a substitute for a proof for all triangles.
