Lesson 6-2: Tests for Parallelograms

Objective:

The student will be able to determine if a quadrilateral is a parallelogram based on 5 methods:

 Methods Close 
  1. Definition: Both pairs of opposite sides are parallel.
  2. Theorem: Both pairs of opposite sides are congruent.
  3. Theorem: Both pairs of opposite angles are congruent.
  4. Theorem: The diagonals bisect each other.
  5. Theorem: One pair of opposite sides are congruent and parallel.
