The student will be able to define a circle, graph a circle, locate its center and radius.
Modify the values of h, k and r, observe the changes and answer the following questions.
1. What are the coordinates of center A of the circle and the measurement of its radius? What is the equation of the circle?
2. What happens when we change the value of h into the equation of the circle ?
3. What are the coordinates of the y-intercepts of the circle? What happens if we replaced in the equation of the cicle with the y-intercepts? And if we replaced them by (3,2)? Which are the points whose coordinates fulfill the equation of the circle?
4. What is the equation of a circle with a center C(1,2) and radius r=5? And if the center is C(-5,2)? And if the center is (0,0)?
