Objective:
The student will be able to graph the parent graphs of all 6 trig functions.
- Drag the sliders to change the values of a, b, c and d in the function. See how each number effects the graph. Which values of a, b and c make the parent function, y = sin(x)?
- Notice that a and b are multipliers or coefficients. What happens when they are zero? Positive vs. negative? Large vs. small?
- Notice that c and d are constants, added to or subtracted from the function. What happens when they are zero? Positive vs. negative? Large vs. small?
