2009-2010 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

You meet in two different PLCs each month, three times with your mini-team and once with your department.  We will be using all available staff development time built into the calendar to take away from PLC meetings during the instructional day.  Your mini-team will spend fewer than two hours per month in PLCs during team planning time, out of about 13 and a half hours.

PLC Math

1 Department PLC per month at monthly meetings after school or during staff dev days

3 mini-team PLC’s per month during team planning times minus the PLCs held during staff dev days (schedule below)

09/02 - 2 PLCs (45-minutes)

09/28 - 1 PLC (45-minutes)

02/15 - 1 PLC (45-minutes)

03/18 - 1 PLC (45-minutes)

That leaves 22 meetings during team planning time.  That amounts to 2.5 meetings during school per month -- less than two hours.  A typical month sees 13.5 hours of team planning time.
