When I am older, I am going to treat people with cancer.  Since I am a thousand times more radioactive than Uranium, I am the perfect one for the job.  There have been many studies about me and scientists have figured out that putting a lot of me several inches from the tumor is more effective than putting a little bit of me as close to the tumor as possible.  Another job I use as my fall back is being painted on watches so the characters glow.  Yes, I am self luminescent  which means I glow.  I have many important jobs I could do.

Many young girls died of radiation because of radium.  They were watch dial painters who used radium to make the characters glow.  They licked the tips of the paint brushes to make them pointy.  The brushes still had radium on them which came off in their mouths and slowly killed them.
