Career

I am a part of a light up sign that sits outside 7-11 advertising their new strawberry banana smoothie.  I do enjoy my job but someday I would like to be used in high-speed flash photography.  It seems so much more exciting to travel around to different places instead of being stuck in parking lot.  But even photography cannot beat being used for international measurement.  I’m perfectly suited to this task because my spectral length is exactly a meter.  

For bonding I do not care

Although Fluorine and I make a perfect pair

I light up signs so you can see

And help when using high-speed flash photography

My last shelf will except no more

Leave me alone! Don’t knock on my door!

It doesn’t take heat to steam me

I boil at negative one fifty-three

My Greek name means “hidden” so I will run

Of all the elements I’m the best one!
