Techno Trainers, or Instructional Technology Resource Trainers (ITRTs), as we are officially called, are the link between the humans in a school (teachers, students, administrators) and the computers in a school.  Our purpose is to help everyone feel comfortable and skilled with using computers to enhance learning and instruction.   See “The Many Faces of a TRT” for a more detailed explanation.

Often the jobs of TRTs and TSTs overlap.  We both can help you troubleshoot computer, printer, email, and Internet problems.  However when it comes to fixing hardware or installing new software, the TST is the one whom you should call.  TSTs focus on the machines, TRTs focus on instruction.
