History
There’s really no limit to the uses of this program in History or Social Studies.  Anything related to geography, wars, etc will transfer nicely. You could even use it as an interactive 3D notebook with hyperlinks to web sites or documents.

There are lots of great resources out there for history.   I’ve seen overlays of Paris from the 1800s, some really great stuff on WWII and demographic data for those of you dealing with civics.
Science

There is a lot of data out there that can make for interesting analyzation and the fact that it’s real world data plotted in a “real world” tends to make it even more interesting to students.

If you’ve a GPS device you can also easily create your own data set in Google Earth.  A class in West Virginia took probes and a GPS device and plotted the PH and other water readings for several miles around a coal refuse heap.  They then fed their data into Google Earth to better analyze it.
