Current eighth grade students living in Henrico County who are not enrolled in a Henrico County middle school and are interested in applying for a specialty center for the 2012-2013 school year, must take the NWEA MAPS Reading and Math Tests. Students will also have to complete a one hour writing prompt. Interested students must register for both the NWEA and writing assessments.

Saturday, January 7, 2012
8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Hungary Creek Middle School
*Tests take between 1 and 2 hours each.
*These tests will be taken on a computer.

HCPS Writing Assessment
Wednesday, January 11, 2012
4:00 p.m.
Glen Allen High School OR Varina High School
*Students have 1 hour to complete the writing sample.
*The writing assessment will be handwritten.
