Theories and Laws - use valid test results to make statements of scientific phenomena that can be tested and yield the same results.

Types of Research
o Quantitative - research involving number calculations for the results.
o Descriptive - research involving observations and a need for physical, visual and or language explanation. 
Limitations of Research
o Technology, lack of availability of equipment to experiment beyond what is currently used.

o Ethics - religious and moral codes that may be violated by experiments that are deemed socially unacceptable.
